Broken Arrow School Surprised With A $1,000 Check

BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -- One Broken Arrow School was surprised with an extra thousand bucks Thursday!

Windstream's Classroom Caravan pulled up at Sequoyah Middle School to hand over the money Thursday morning.

The company is traveling from New York to Texas giving away cash, and telling schools about a chance to win another $25,000 through Facebook and Twitter.

"Windstream understands that with budget cuts schools are taking a huge hit and so they want to do the most, the best that they can to give back in any way to the communities that have really meant a lot to Windstream," said Brooke Cochran of Classroom Caravan.

Windstream will award $1,000 to schools in need of a quick fix. Schools must Tweet their need to @Win_Connects using #ClassCash, post it on Facebook at facebook.com/WindstreamConnects or leave a recording detailing their need on the SchoolsWIN toll free hotline at 855-558-6600.
