WAGONER COUNTY, Oklahoma -- Another popular area lake is under a blue-green algae warning. The Army Corps of Engineers issued the warning for the Rocky Point swimming beach at Ft. Gibson Lake.

The water at the swim beach is considered unsafe for people and pets.

Oklahomans like Jim Richardson who planned to spend time with family at the lake are rethinking their plans.

"I'm still gonna do my fishing, but I don't think we'll be doing any swimming or anything like that," said Jim Richardson, Owasso resident.

Blue-green algae is naturally present in Oklahoma lakes, but during dry, hot conditions, blooms can produce a toxin that can make you sick.
