TULSA, Oklahoma -- Public Service Company of Oklahoma says fewer than 2,000 area residents are still without power Sunday.

The worst damage to power lines is in the area between Lewis Avenue and Sheridan Road and from 31st Street to Admiral Boulevard. Stan Whiteford with PSO said they should have the majority of customers back online Sunday with a few who won't be connected until sometime Monday.

The powerful thunderstorm moved into the area Saturday evening packed powerful winds that knocked down several power lines. About 19,000 customers were without electricity at the peak of the outage.

Track the outages

PSO said extensive damage in some neighborhoods is slowing repair efforts.

Temperatures are expected to reach about 107 Sunday.
