Charles Clay Signs Rookie Deal With Miami

The former Tulsa fullback has signed a rookie contract with the Dolphins after being selected sixth in the draft.

MIAMI -- Former University of Tulsa fullback Charles Clay has signed a rookie contract with the Miami Dolphins. Clay signed the a four-year deal. Financial details were not released.

After playing multiple positions with the Golden Hurricane, Clay is listed as a fullback/tight end with Miami. The Dolphins drafted Clay in the sixth-round with the 174th overall pick.

The Seattle Seahawks signed its sixth-round pick, Byron Maxwell, for $2.15 million with a $113,452 signing bonus. Clay was taken one spot after Maxwell.

Clay ended his college career second on the all-time touchdowns list at Tulsa. He joins a Miami backfield with established NFL names like Ronnie Brown and Reggie Bush.
