ARDMORE, Oklahoma -- The hiring of Lon Kruger is already paying dividends for the Sooners on the recruiting trail. Ardmore junior Nino Jackson says that with the new head coach in place, Oklahoma is now back in his top 5 schools.

When asked Thursday, he declared Kansas, Baylor, Texas, North Carolina and Oklahoma as the top schools he is considering.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound junior guard is a unanimous four-star player and a top 10 position recruit, as well as a nationally-ranked top 50 recruit overall, projecting at point or shooting guard.

He hasn’t spoken to the new Oklahoma head coach, but likes what he already knows about the Sooners’ new head man.

Jackson will spend the spring and summer playing AAU Basketball for the Compton, Cali. Magic, heading to Las Vegas April 7 for the 2011 Fullcourt Press Easter Classic tournament.
