CHOCTAW, Oklahoma -- Guthrie won their second pool play game of the tournament 3-2 over the OKC Bronchos. A two-run homerun by Hunter Gates in the top of the second gave Guthrie a 2-0 lead.
The Bronchos would put one on the board in the second to cut it to 2-1, but the Blue Jays added another run in the fourth, when John Clark scored on a passed ball by the Bronchos. That gave Guthrie the 3-1 lead.
The Bronchos would cut it to 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth, when Cole Sunbye hit an RBI double.
With two outs and a Broncho runner in scoring position in the bottom of the seventh, pitcher Hayden Seifert got a ground ball in the infield and his defense was able to come up with the stop and hold off the Bronchos.
