Midwest City, Okla. -- Frontier knocked off undefeated New Lima 67-59 in a Class A Girls Quarterfinal matchup. The Lady Mustangs advance to the State Semifinals for the second straight year.
Frontier led 34-27 at half, but the Falconettes made it interesting late in the game.
After Frontier took a 52-43 lead at the 6:27 mark in the 4th, New Lima went on a run in the next 1:27, and Charity Lena's 3 at the five minute mark cut it to 54-52.
Frontier again gained control of the game, but New Lima wouldn't go away. Haley Day hit a three with two minutes left to pull the Falconettes to within three, 61-58, but that is as close as it would get.
Freshman Marissa Goodman led Frontier with 26 points. Tiffany Young had 12 and Jalissa Gum had 10.
Lena finished with 25 for the Falconettes.
New Lima finishes the season at 29-1.
Frontier will face Cyril at 9 a.m. Friday at the Big House.
