GUTHRIE, Oklahoma – Mother nature spoiled national signing day last week, but Guthrie High School was not going to let all the snow ruin the celebration of four Guthrie football players.
Kentrell Brothers, DeVante McCully, Felix Scott and Bryce Sullivan signed papers in front of family and friends in the school’s cafeteria.
Brothers, a Missouri signee, expects to arrive in Columbia in early June to begin his collegiate career. The Oklahoma Sports player of the year plans on playing linebacker for the tigers.
McCully will bring his pass catching talents to East Central University. The 6-foot-5 wide receiver has a chance to play as a true freshman. McCully scored 10 touchdowns for the Bluejays in 2010.
Felix Scott and Bryce Sullivan are also staying in-state to play football this fall. Scott is projected to be a linebacker for Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Sullivan will be an offensive lineman for Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
