Star Spencer Holds off Western Heights, 45-38

EDMOND, Okla. – Star Spencer jumped out to an early lead in the opening round of tournament play at Deer Creek on Friday and never trailed in a 45-38 victory over Western Heights.

The Lady Bobcats built an eight-point lead early and never trailed even though the Lady Jets were able to pull to within four points several times. Star Spencer led by as many as 12.

OU commit Sharane Campbell of Star Spencer led all scorers with 19 points with one of her future coaches, OU assistant Stacy Hansmeyer, in attendance.

Dilan Webster led Western Heights with 12.
