MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma—Two of the top girls programs in class 6A met Tuesday night as the numbersix ranked Norman Tigers traveled to No. 1 ranked Midwest City in a rematch of the 2010 state championship game.

The Lady Bombers of Midwest City led 14-9 after the first quarter of play and extended the lead to 26-17 by the halftime break.

Despite leading 40-21 at the end of the third, the Bombers missed quite a few free throws late in the fourth and allowed Norman to chip into the lead.

A three pointer by D Brown cut it to 42-33 with 1:24 left. Then Bethany Cox hit a jumper for the Tigers making it a seven point game.

Jordan Franks knocked down two free throws to cut it to 42-37 but that is as close as Norman would get.

Midwest City made their final free throw attempts count and closed the door on Norman to come out with the 49-41 win.

Oklahoma commit Kaylon Williams led Midwest City with 14 points while Ashley Clark and Marisha Wallace added 10 apiece.

Kim Hayes led the scoring for Norman with 14 and was aided by Kamra King who added 11 points while Bethany Cox finished the night with 10.

The Bombers remain undefeated on the season while Norman is 8-4 thus far.

Norman returns to the court Thursday as the Tigers host Sapulpa Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m. while Midwest City will take the court again Jan. 11 against Moore.
