TULSA, Oklahoma – The Metro Christian Patriots are moving on to the 3A quarterfinals after a 34-14 win over Valliant.
Metro got off to a quick start using the ground game and a series of short passes. Solomon Prince paced the team on the ground. Davis Boatright would haul in a touchdown reception in the second quarter to give Metro a 20-7 lead.
Valliant struck back late in the half when Shae McKinney caught a short touchdown pass to cut the lead to 20-14. That would be the last score of the game for the Bulldogs, however. The Patriots’ defense dominated the second half while the offense tacked on two more scores to put the game away.
The Patriots will host unbeaten Anadarko, led by star running back Sheldon Wilson, in the quarterfinals.
