OKLAHOMA CITY—Lawton started their scoring early and never let up in their 42-0 shutout of Putnam City.
The Wolverines defense sparked the scoring right from the start by intercepting Putnam City’s first pass from scrimmage, taking it back to the 21 yard line after a penalty.
That set up Deaquan Wojciechowski’s six yard touchdown run to put the Wolverines on the board 7-0.
Lawton( 9-0, 6-0) then scored as Brandon Bartlett found Tyrequek Zimmerman for 17-yard TD pass, putting them up 14-0.
Then Bartlett hits Demarious Littles on 28-yard TD pass to continue to roll over the Pirates 21-0.
Zimmerman later scored on 46 yard reverse run, to go up 28-0 and then Littles collected his second TD pass of the night, this one from 43 yards out to go up 35-0 at the half.
The Wolverines punched in their final score of the evening when Apprentiss Moore ran it in from the six-yard line to cap the 42-0 shutout.
The win gives Lawton the 6A-2 district title, but they will round out the final game of the season against Westmoore Nov. 5 while Putnam City(5-4, 2-4) will travel to Edmond Santa Fe.
