GLENPOOL, Oklahoma – The Glenpool defense surrendered the most points it had all season against Santa Fe South, but the offense scored 74, and the Warriors cruised to a 74-34 victory on Friday night.
Glenpool got off to a fast start when Victor Cervantes picked off Jameson Ballinger on the first play of the game.
Isaac Maselera punched it in a few players later and the Warriors led 7-0 two minutes into the game. Maselera, who was crowned homecoming king before the game, touched the ball on every play during the drive.
After the Saints stalled on their next drive, Alton Adkins took over for the Warriors. Adkins turned out two long runs for Glenpool and finished the drive with a short touchdown run up the middle.
Glenpool continued to roll from that point and moved to 5-1 on the season.
The Warriors travel to Tecumseh next week, while Santa Fe South takes on Harrah.
