TULSA, Oklahoma – Nearly one year after dropping 90 points on Miami, Booker T. Washington scored 42 first half points against Memorial, and rolled to a 49-16 victory.
The Hornets came out firing and crossed the goalline three times in the first quarter. They continued their onslaught in the second quarter when Tre Stearns caught a Dominique Sells pass over the middle and strolled in for the score.
On the ensuing drive, Tyler Lockett picked off an Alex Bollinger pass and made it 35-0 Hornets by returning it for a touchdown.
After a Charger three-and-out, Sells gave BTW a 42-0 lead and capped off the first half scoring by finding a wide open Lockett in the endzone.
Memorial scored twice in the second half, but the Hornets rolled to their fourth victory of the season.
Booker T. Washington travels to Collinsville next week, while the Chargers look to get back on track against Rogers.
