DEL CITY, Okla – The Norman Tigers might be one of the biggest surprises in the state after three weeks.

After taking down Norman North and Moore their first two weeks, the Tigers traveled to Del City and took down the Eagles in a 41-6 blowout win.

Quarterback Zach Long started things off quickly for Norman with a 33-yard touchdown to Matthew Connery for a 7-0 lead.

In the second quarter, Del City quarterback Chazten Gonzales couldn’t get a handle on a high snap and the ball squirted loose. Norman’s George Kittle scooped it up and took it 42 yards to the house for a 21-0 Tiger lead.

The Eagles’ only touchdown came in the third quarter on a 15-yard touchdown connection from Gonzales to Larry Long, which put the Eagles down 34-6.

The Eagles (1-2) will head to Edmond North next week to take on the Huskies, while Norman (3-0) will head to Sapulpa.
