MUSTANG, Oklahoma -- The Mustang Broncos bounced back from a season-opening loss to beat the Putnam City North Panthers, 27-14.

Halfway into the third quarter, PCN’s quarterback Jace James handed the ball off to No. 28 Sam Wolf, who ran it in to the eight yard line.

Just two plays later, James passed to No. 6 Covin Conrady for a touchdown, making the score 14-13.

The Panthers will face rival Putnam City West in week three, while Mustang will travel to Bixby to the Spartans.
