GUTHRIE, Oklahoma -- The summer of 2010 turned out to be one big road trip for Kentrell Brothers. The highly recruited linebacker took a mini-tour of the Pac-10.

“I started off at Arizona, then I went to Arizona State and then I went up to camp at the University of Washington,” Brothers said.

Kentrell is in a “wait-and-see” mode concerning his next move. Brothers originally planned to name his college choice before his senior season started, but has changed his mind.

“Now I’ll have to wait until the middle of the season or after the season,” Brothers said. I have two official visits set up right now.”

Brothers plans on visiting Arizona State on Sept. 4 and will take another visit to the University of Washington the following weekend.

Tulsa is the only in-state school to offer him a scholarship. His scholarship count is up to 15 schools.

“He’s a very intelligent player and he’s intelligent in the classroom, having Duke, Tulsa, Vanderbilt and Baylor offering him a scholarship,” head coach Rafe Watkins said.

The opposing defenses will need to wise up and locate Brothers at all times this fall. Coach Watkins plans on playing Brothers at several spots on defense, along with his normal wide receiver spot on offense.
