OKLAHOMA CITY -- After coming in fifth in District C-1 last year, the Sharon-Mutual Trojans are determined to reach the playoffs this season.
Led by a strong offense in veteran quarterback Weston Free and his wide receiver Cody Cotton, the Trojans just may have a shot. CoachesAid.com has them projected at fourth in the district, which would land them in the post season.
On defense, the squad will rely heavily on Caled Nielsen and Levi Osborn.
The Trojans have a stacked division though, facing off against Shattuck, Forgan, Boise City, and Tyrone in the regular season. Head Coach Chris Syms doesn’t see that as a disadvantage though.
“Seeing those guys in the regular season definitely helps in the playoffs,” Syms said.
They’ll have to stay healthy, as losing one man off your roster makes a huge impact in eight-man football.
