OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Yukon Millers return seven starters on offense this year, and are banking on that experience to make another run at the playoffs.
While head coach Todd Wilson knows he can trust the arm of junior Corben Jones, he’ll also be expecting big things from the Millers’ running game.
Last year, Jones stepped in as the starter as a sophomore, but was supported by the experienced players around him. He used his summer months to workout with his receivers--Kollin Retter, Kaiden Horn, Jordan Edwards and Eric Granado.
“I trust them, I know they’re going to make big plays when we need them,” Jones said. “They’re going to get the job done.”
The defense is returning six players, which should provide for a solid Miller defense.
“We feel like we’ve got some good depth on the defensive side,” Wilson said. “We’re counting on those guys to win games for us."
