OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma -- The Edmond North Huskies begin their fourth year under head coach Jeremy Dombeck, so the level of expectations is known throughout the team.
According to Coach Dombeck, the team’s progress last year is contagious and he hopes that the loss of nine offensive players won’t hurt the momentum.
He’s banking on last season’s younger guys will step up, learn from success and carry that confidence on the field this year.
Travis Townsend, the team’s quarterback, feels more comfortable this year compared to last season. He talked about the fast pace last year, but he looks forward to taking a leadership role this year to show the underclassmen the ropes and slow down their game a little.
His receivers are ready for this new season too. The team’s preseason scrimmage helped them work out some last-minute kinks and find out what areas they can tweak.
