BLANCHARD, Oklahoma -- Don’t let the size of the school fool you, Ryan Spangler is a big-time quarterback in every sense of the word.

The 6-foot-7-inch signal caller has led Bridge Creek to back-to-back 10-win seasons, and in his junior campaign passed for 3,143 yards and 33 touchdowns.

“He can see over the top of all of our linemen,” said head coach Jerry Wallis. “Ryan can pretty much sit back there and see the whole field.”

But Spangler’s talent isn’t confined to the gridiron. His height also makes him a threat on the hardwood for the Bobcats. On top of his options to play football, Spangler has offers to play basketball at his choice of schools.

“Gonzaga, Creighton, Tulsa. I’ve got about 11 [scholarship offers for basketball],” said Spangler.

With Bridge Creek moving up from 2A to 3A with the class realignments, Spangler hopes to bring the Bobcats’ winning tradition to the new class.
