OKLAHOMA CITY -- Bishop McGuinness avenged last year's state title game loss to Star Spencer, defeating the Bobcats 55-39 to advance to their fifth championship game in a row.
The Irish had little trouble from the start jumping out to a 33-15 lead at half.
Matthew Christiansen led the Irish with 15 and Jameel Whitney added 14.
John Cooksey led Star Spencer with 16 points.
Bishop McGuinness has now advanced to the 4A state championship game nine times in the past 13 years.
The championship game will be played at 5:45 at the State Fair Arena.
