JENKS, Oklahoma –On senior night, a freshman led the way for Jenks in a 52-35 win. Jessica Washington scored a team-high 13 points to lead her team past their hated cross-town rivals.
Washington, Whitney Bjornson and Garrah Draper combined to score 35 points, equaling the Lady Redskins’ team total.
Jenks led by six points at halftime but really turned on the offense in the second half. The Lady Trojans outscored Union 31-20 in the second half.
Union got a game-high 17 points from Imani Davis, including 15 of those in the third and fourth quarters. The freshman continues to play well for the Lady Redskins.
Jenks finished the week strong, after battling back for a win over Broken Arrow on Tuesday night behind Washington’s 28 points.
Jenks improved to 14-6 overall this season with the win. The loss was Union’s third in its last seven games.
Union will host Broken Arrow on Tuesday. Jenks will visit Muskogee.
