David Lore confirmed via text message that he committed to Air Force. The Jenks defensive lineman chose the Falcons over Navy, Army and Louisiana-Monroe. Lore made official visits to Colorado Springs and Annapolis and said there were a few factors that put the Falcons over the top.
“I didn’t fit in very well [at Navy] like I did with the Air Force guys and coaches,” Lore said via text. “Plus the location is close to home and it is in the mountains.”
Lore had to cancel his official visit to Army Jan. 30 due to the inclement weather in Oklahoma. But even if he had taken a trip to the Black Knights, it may not have been enough to get him to switch.
“I would have gone in with an open mind,” Lore said. “But it would have been hard to get me convinced.”
The Falcons will use Lore at defensive end.
