WEATHERFORD, Oklahoma – The Weatherford girls continued their perfect start to the season Tuesday with a 51-39 victory over Kingfisher.

Weatherford is now 13-0 and remains part of a trio of 4A teams that are still undefeated, joining Harrah and Guthrie. Pam Whedbee led the Lady Eagles with 16 points, and Taylor Sawatzky added 11. Sita Alarcon and Shelby Jo Layn each scored nine points to lead Kingfisher.

The Lady Eagles’ 12-point win over Kingfisher was their closest finish of the season after winning each of their previous two games by more than 30 points.

Weatherford will look to keep its early run going Friday against Harding Charter Prep. Kingfisher will also play Friday and will be looking to recover against Riverside Indian.
