MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma – Trez and Trael Colbert led the Midwest City Bombers to a 68-51 victory over Nathan Hale in the Carl Albert Titan Classic Thursday.
The Colbert brothers combined to score 34 points and helped the Bombers break away early in the game, and they never looked back. Midwest City led by as much as 19 in the second half.
“We’ve talked about the first and third quarters all year long, and I thought we did come out ready to go,” Midwest City head coach Dewayne Bradley said. “We made adjustments at halftime and the kids went out and took care of business early.”
The Carl Albert Titan Classic provides rare opportunities for teams from the east and west sides of the state to face each other.
“It’s always nice to play people that you never see,” Bradley said. “You don’t really know how to match up until you get out there and I think it’s really good for the kids to figure things out while they’re out there.”
