TULSA, Oklahoma – After struggling as of late, Owasso got back on track Monday at Cascia Hall with a 36-35 win over the Commandos.
Owasso senior Jeff Bontrager led all scorers with 11 points and Dylan Croslin added eight. Bear Hawkins led the way for the Commandos with 10 points.
Both teams struggled to get good looks in the first quarter, especially Cascia Hall. The Commandos were held scoreless for the first six minutes of the contest and only managed four points in the first period.
Cascia Hall started getting shots to fall in the second quarter and took their first lead on a Thomas Cargile jumper. Both teams battled back and forth for the rest of the quarter and Owasso went into the half leading 16-15.
The Commandos took over after the break and led 28-22 at the end of the third period. The Rams finished strong, though, and outscored Cascia Hall 14-7 in the fourth quarter.
Owasso moves to 5-7 with the win, while the Commandos fall to 13-4.
