Lauren Rogers Leads Mannford Past Sperry

OOLOGAH, Oklahoma -- Lauren Rogers accounted for nearly half of Mannford’s total points as the Lady Pirates knocked off Sperry 55-43 in the 5th place game of the Oologah High School Basketball Tournament.

Rogers scored 26 points for Mannford, which also received a 14-point effort from Chelsey Saliba.

Mannford jumped out to a 25-21 lead in the first and slowly pulled away after halftime.

Sperry’s Hannah Nelson scored 18 in the loss. Hayley Goolsby added nine.

Mannford will try to continue its winning ways when it faces Oologah on Jan. 12. Sperry will try to rebound from its loss at home on Jan. 11 against Barnsdall.
