TULSA, Oklahoma – Edison rode the emotion of the home crowd to a 66-49 win over Memorial Thursday night. The Eagles got big games from Steven Hamilton and Desmond Butler.
Memorial tried to establish 6-foot-9 center Cameron Downing early on and it worked. The senior scored six of Memorial’s first 11 points, but the Eagles matched the Chargers’ early spurts.
Hamilton got the crowd into it with a dunk and the foul to give Edison an early three point lead. The two teams would end the first quarter knotted at 15 apiece.
Edison turned on the offense in the second half. The Eagles get double-digit points from Hamilton and Butler in the win.
