OKLAHOMA CITY – The Putnam City Pirates’ season came to an end Friday with a 15-0 loss at the hands of the Edmond Memorial Bulldogs.
PCO (3-7, 2-5) is now out of the playoffs for the first time since 2006. Three of the Pirates’ five district losses came by a combined total of 10 points.
Edmond Memorial (7-3, 6-1) has clinched the No. 2 seed in District 6A-2, and finished the regular season on a six-game winning streak. The Bulldogs surrendered a total of 17 points in those six games, and recorded three shutouts.
