OOLOGAH, Oklahoma – The Oologah Mustangs didn’t start the season off the way they had planned. In week one OHS ran into a buzz saw when the Claremore Zebras tagged them for 42 points in a 42-20 loss.
Week two went a little bit better.
The Mustangs fell behind to Coweta early in the first quarter after Clint Keel rushed for a score to give the Tigers a 7-0 lead. After that, it was all Mustangs.
Junior quarterback Alec Brunson led the charge. Brunson used his legs to knot the game at seven in the first quarter with a short run to the endzone. Brunson ran untouched for the score and from there the Mustangs ran away with the game.
Oologah turned on the jets in the second half and blazed by the Tigers 35-13. Next up for Oolohah is a home matchup with Claremore Sequoya.
Coweta visits Har-Ber next weekend.
