Wreck Puts Tulsa Man In Same Hospital With Pregnant Wife

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A man on the way to the hospital to see his wife who's in labor was hit by a woman on her cell phone at 61st and Peoria.

Police say the woman went through a red light hitting the man's car. Both were taken to the hospital.

The man complained of wrist pain, and the woman was bruised and complaining of head pain. Both drivers are expected to be okay.

The man ended up at the same hospital as his wife who is expecting the couple's first child, according to Corporal Mark Secrist with the Tulsa Police Department.

"The father-to-be is going to the ER to make sure, and then he'll go up the stairs and see his wife who is in labor," Secrist said.
