WETMORE, Colorado -- An Oklahoma man dies in a plane crash in Colorado over the holiday weekend.
Colorado officials say 50-year-old Sidney Emmert was piloting the plane when it crashed 100 miles south of Denver.
A passenger in the plane reportedly tried to pull Emmert out of the plane, but the fire got too big.
The passenger was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Custer County coroner Arthur Nordyke says Emmert is from Oklahoma City.
A wildfire broke out about the same time as the crash. Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles, but firefighters say it's not clear if the crash and the fire are related.
