Funeral Held For 4-Year-Old Muskogee Girl

OKAY, Oklahoma -- Family members and friends of 4-year-old Christina Meeks gathered in the Muskogee County community of Okay Tuesday morning to remember her.

The funeral took place at the Okay Christian Fellowship in downtown Okay.

On Monday, Christina's grandmother, 42-year-old Betty Hall was charged with one count of child neglect in Muskogee County District Court.

Christina's uncle, 22-year-old Robert Meeks II is charged with child sexual abuse.

Christina Meeks was taken to the hospital on Sunday, June 19th, 2011, but died a day later at a Tulsa hospital. The state Medical Examiner's Office has not ruled yet on how she died.

Following Tuesday's funeral service, Christina Meeks was buried in Three Rivers Cemetery in Okay.

Both Hall and Meeks are still in the Muskogee County jail.  Their next court date is July 7, 2011.
