TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa City Council voted Thursday to comply with a judge's order to use new district maps in the next city council election.

Elections this fall will use up-to-date district boundaries based off the 2010 census.

Some councilors fought to use the outdated boundaries because they did not like the way their district is changing. They also argued the new map wasn't really final.

The Tulsa City Council also approved a city budget for next year.

It reflects growing revenue at city hall, adding spending in almost every category, now that the city has money to spend.

After the mayor proposed a budget, the council's priorities were added in, with new spending from additional tax money coming into the city.
