TULSA, Oklahoma – Things didn't take long to get ugly for the Drillers in a 10-2 loss to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Tuesday evening.
Northwest Arkansas got off to a strong start, knocking in two runs in the first and six runs in the first five innings.
The Drillers didn't get on the board until the bottom of the seventh inning, when Wilin Rosario homered to left field to get his team on the board.
By that time, however, Tulsa was already down nine runs, so the effect was minimal.
The Drillers managed one more run in the bottom of the ninth on a homer from Ben Paulsen.
Tulsa gave up 14 hits on the day.
Alan DeRatt picked up the loss for Tulsa, giving up nine hits and five runs in 3.1 innings.
The Drillers will continue play Wednesday against Northwest Arkansas at home at 7:05 p.m.
