OKLAHOMA CITY -- If you are an Oklahoma homeowner struggling to pay your mortgage, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has launched an Emergency Homeowners' Loan Program to help with interest-free, forgivable loans to pay past due mortgage payments.
HUD says the program will assist homeowners who have experienced a reduction in income and are at risk of foreclosure due to involuntary unemployment, underemployment, due to economic conditions or a medical condition.
The state of Oklahoma has been allocated $15,575,381.
There are eligibility requirements.
