TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa Shock waived rookie center Miranda Ayim Wednesday, clearing a spot for the team to add another player to the roster.
Ayim averaged 2.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in the Shock's first three games after making the team as a free agent invitee to training camp.
Ayim did not play in the Shock's previous two games against Indiana and Connecticut.
The Shock is currently down two starters in Elizabeth Cambage who suffered a concussion in Tuesday's game, and Amber Holt who has a broken thumb.
The team resumes practice Thursday and Friday of this week before hosting Washington on Saturday June 18 at 7 p.m.
