TULSA, Oklahoma -- Remember Atheana? She's the dog whose owners dropped her at the animal shelter because they could no longer afford to keep her.
Rick Wells heard about Atheana's story and has followed her journey to find a new home.
Last week Rick and Radar, the News on 6 weather dog, went shopping at Petsmart for some toys and treats for her. On Tuesday, they delivered the goods.

Carol Friesen agreed to give Atheana a temporary home.
"She's always smiling, always happy; she has beautiful teeth and a beautiful smile and I'd hate for someone to overlook her because she's a black dog," she said.
When News On 6 reporter Rick Wells brought in the gifts he and Radar bought, including a leash, collar and some treats, what she was interested in was a toy they had picked out.
It turns out Radar knew what he was doing.
"She likes that," Carol said. "Don't even have to take it off the card."
She didn't want to give it up long enough to get it out of the wrapping.
Carol brought in one of her own dogs, also a lab mix. They played together for a bit. But the best part?
"The great part is, she's crate trained, she's house broken, she doesn't have accidents, at least not here she hasn't. She's just all ready to go home and be somebody's best friend," Carol said.
Carol said she loves water, and she's learned some new tricks since she's been here, like catching treats. Maybe she can also catch a new owner.
You can meet Atheana this Saturday afternoon, June 11, 2011, at Rock 'n Rescue, an adoption event sponsored by the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals at the Blue Rose Cafe on the river.
If you can't wait until Saturday, call Carol at 918-521-9286.
