TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa Shock narrowed down their final 2011 roster to 11 players and also released the TV broadcast schedule on Thursday.
Tulsa waived Betty Lennox on Thursday morning to cut the roster down to the limit.
Among the notable new names on the list are former Oklahoma State guard Andrea Riley, who came over from the Sparks in the offseason, as well as the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft, rookie post Liz Cambage.
Sheryl Swoopes, often called the "Michael Jordan of women's basketball," will be joining the Tulsa roster for the upcoming season as well. Swoopes is a four-time WNBA champion and three-time MVP.
The Shock and Cox Communications have also reached an agreement to televise four road games during the 2011 season.
Saturday's season opener against San Antonio will be broadcast, with tipoff set for 7 p.m.
Games at Phoenix on July 10, at Minnesota on August 14 and at Los Angeles on August 26 will also be televised.
