Campfire Teams To Play Tug-Of-War With Plane

TULSA, Oklahoma -- It's the only event of its kind in the entire country, and it's happening Saturday in Tulsa. Teams of 20 will play tug-of-war with a jet.

It's an annual fundraiser for Campfire USA with food, carnival games, a silent auction and more. It's called "Just Plane Fun," and it will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tulsa Technology Riverside Campus.

The star of the show this year is the brand new MD-80 donated by American Airlines. A 20 member team will pull the 100,000 pound jet.

The fundraiser directly impacts Green Country Council's ability to continue serving more than 3,600 local boys and girls, primarily in at-risk circumstances.
