Tomorrow is opening day.  Hope for everyone.  Even us Cubs fans.  Just remember, any franchise can win the World Series once every hundred years.  It takes epic futility to stink for over a century.  And nobody does that like my Cubs.</P> </P>Here are my fearless picks for 2011:</P> </P>National League West:  Rockies.  Injuries held them back last season.</P>National League Central:  Reds.  Get a full season from Edinson Volquez.</P>National League East:  Phillies.  Even if Utley misses time, pitching too good.</P>National League Wildcard:  Brewers.  Nobody else has them.</P> </P>American League West:  Angels.  They got better and Rangers worse in offseason.</P>American League Central:  White Sox.  Powerful bats.</P>American League East:  Red Sox.  Carl Crawford will make them go.</P>American League Wildcard:  Yankees.  But pitching is average after CC and Hughes.</P> </P>Person most likely to get every pick wrong:  Me</P> </P>See you in October.</P> </P> </P> </P><BR/>May 26th, 2011
