I had a blast calling Bedlam Baseball Friday at Oneok Field. That is a well-done ballpark. It gives me the feel of the University of Tulsa’s Reynolds Center, another of my favorite Oklahoma venues.
The Oak is not overdone with bells and whistles. Bells and whistles tend to break. Ballparks that are overdone tend to show their age more easily and not stand the test of time. The Oak, much like the Bricktown Ballpark, will be a field of dreams for several generations.
The open view of the Tulsa skyline outside of right field will only get better with time as the revitalization of the downtown area continues.
Over nine-thousand fans were witness to the first Bedlam game at Oneok, but if felt like much more than that.
