OKLAHOMA CITY – When you play a playoff game every other day, often flying halfway across the country to do so, it’s hard to get much practice in.
So Scott Brooks has relegated his team to what he calls “maintenance days” – essentially days to work on whatever needs to be done, whether that is rehabbing an injury, fine-tuning a shot or simply resting.
Oklahoma City players had a maintenance day on Thursday at their practice facility before departing in the afternoon for Memphis.
The Thunder and Grizzlies will tip off at 8 p.m. on Friday.
Before the team and staff left town, Brooks talked to the media about the Thunder’s big win, the possible fatigue factor and the improved play of OKC’s big men.
