NORMAN, Okla. – OU coach Lon Kruger’s coaching background speaks for itself, but one thing he has gone above and beyond with is student and fan relations.

Kruger has already set a new standard by opening up practices, inviting feedback through email and Twitter and otherwise opened up the program to ensure fans are fully involved.

He and other coaches and former players were on hand at the Sooners’ annual Tip In Club Dinner, which helps raise funds for the OU basketball program.

Oklahoma Sports’s Dean Blevins spent some time talking with Kruger about his interactions with the fan base, the NBA playoffs and the upcoming college season.
