Tulsa Shock to Hold Open Tryouts

More than 50 participants have been invited to compete for an invite to the team's training camp.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Fresh off adding two players in the 2011 WNBA Draft, Tulsa Shock general manger and head coach Nolan Richardson will be holding open tryouts for an invite to 2011 training camp at 9 a.m. Friday.

Fifty participants have been invited to the open workout to be held at First United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Okla. The list of players attending includes former Cowgirls Precious Robinson, former ORU forward Desiree Frierson and Texas A&M’s Danielle Gant.

The Shock will open training camp May 15 and will play its preseason game two weeks later against the Seattle Storm.
