Sooners Fall to Wildcats, Snap Conference Win Streak
Oklahoma not only ended its five-game win streak, but ace Michael Rocha dropped his first game of the season.

MANHATTAN, Kansas -- The Oklahoma Sooners were upset Friday night 2-0 by the Kansas State Wildcats 2-0, snapping their five-game win streak.
Wildcats’ (17-11, 3-7) got a strong outing from starter Kyle Hunter (3-2), pitching 7.2 shutout innings and giving up just four hits. Michael Rocha (7-1) earned his first loss of the season, allowing just one earned run on four hits in his six innings of service for Oklahoma (23-7, 5-4).
Kansas State capitalized on Rocha’s struggles in the bottom of the second to score its first run. The Wildcats pulled off a double-steal to advance runners to scoring position and back-to-back walks scored Mike Kindel to take a 1-0 lead.
The Wildcats struck again in the bottom of the fifth. Nick Martini walked to load the bases and in the next at-bat, Jason King hit a sacrifice fly to left field to bring Jake Brown home and take a 2-0 lead.
Oklahoma will try to get back to winning at 2 p.m. Saturday against the Wildcats before wrapping up the series at 1 p.m. Sunday.
