TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa 66ers were the favorite in their 1st round playoff series with Texas. But, in a 3-game series, anything is possible.
Well, the 66ers didn’t waste any time putting this series away.
Tulsa won game 1 on Wednesday 94-83. On Friday night, the series moved back to Tulsa. And the 66ers took care of business on their home court.
Tulsa put this game out of reach in a hurry, taking a 32-19 lead after 1 quarter. Texas did fight back in the 2nd and at the half, they only trailed by 6.
But, in the 2nd half, it was all 66ers. Tulsa outscored the Legends by 12 in the 3rd quarter. Then it was just a matter of waiting for the time to run out. And when it did, the 66ers had picked up the 104-89 win.
Elijah Millsap led all scorers with 27 points, but he wasn’t the only one lighting up the scoreboard. Cole Aldrich had one of his best games of the season, scoring 17 points and grabbing 18 rebounds. And Jerome Dyson also had a double-double, scoring 14 points and dishing out 13 assists.
This win gives Tulsa a 2 games to none win in the series. So, the 66ers move on to the 2nd round of the playoffs. In that round, they’ll play either Iowa or Utah.
