TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa 66ers have spent the better part of this season in first place in the Western Conference. But, the last month has not been kind to the 66ers as they’ve lost 7 of their last 10 games.

Those losses have dropped Tulsa into a tie for 2nd in the conference. However, they were just a game behind first place Reno.

The 66ers tried to snap out of their funk on Friday night as they hosted the Dakota Wizards.

And Tulsa came out of the gate looking good. Cole Aldrich, making his 3rd stop in Tulsa this year, scored the first 6 points for the 66ers. And the rest of the team took over from there.

Tulsa was up 10 at the half and up 14 after 3 quarters. And when the final buzzer sounded, the 66ers had snapped their 2-game losing streak as they beat the Wizards 97-82.

Jerome Dyson led all scorers with 27 points, Latavious Williams had an outstanding game, scoring 22 points and grabbing 17 rebounds, and Cole Aldrich had a successful return to Tulsa, scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 boards.

With the win, the 66ers are now 32-17 this year. The other team they started the night with, Rio Grande Valley, also won on Friday night, so Tulsa is still in a tight battle to determine their playoff seed. The 66ers will wrap up the regular season on Saturday night when they host the Wizards once again.
