OSU's Chelsea Garcia Wins Big 12 Player of the Week
Garcia picked up the award for games played March 21-27.

KANSAS CITY – OSU infielder Chelsea Garcia received the Big 12 Softball Player of the Week award for her performances last week, the league announced Tuesday.
The award is Garcia’s first of the season and the second of her career; she received the award in April 2010.
Garcia batted .500 (7-for14) last week, including two double and three home runs. She racked up 10 RBIs and scored three runs of her own while racking up a .563 on-base percentage.
OSU started the week with a 9-5 victory against North Texas in which Garcia went 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs.
She followed it up with a three-run homer to open conference play against Iowa State. In a 15-1 victory to finish out the series with the Cyclones, she went 3-for-3 with two runs, three RBIs and another home run.
Chelsea Thomas of the Missouri Tigers picked up the Pitcher of the Week award.
OSU continues play in the Border Wars tournament in Stillwater. The Cowgirls will play two games on Wednesday, starting with Arkansas at 3 p.m. and following it up with Tulsa at 7 p.m.
